Cara had a great appointment at the doctor today. We just had to go for her to get weighed in. They want to make sure my boobs are doing their job! So here are her stats:
Birth- 6 pounds, 10 ounces
Discharged at 6 pounds, 5 ounces
The next day at the doctor- 6 Pounds, 10 ounces (back to birthweight!)
Today (one week later)- 7 pounds, 4 ounces!
The doctor wanted to know what I was feeding her. I said I am breastfeeding. He asked if I was supplementing. I said no. He asked if I was pumping and bottle feeding her, I told him no, she gets her milk directly from me. His response?
"That is remarkable. This baby has gained more than an ounce a day on your milk. That is fabulous. We have nothing to worry about with her gaining weight!"
Yay for boobie juice! We go back now for her one month appointment on July 15th. I can't wait to see what she weighs then!

Dawn...was thinking the same thing! If I remember correctly, it was you and I telling Erin to lose the mittens with Maeve :)!
E..also noticed the swaddling..didn't Maeve struggle with that too! HEHE!

OK, thanks Dawn... Didn't want to be the first to make fun of those mittens again. Poor little girl isn't going to see those hands for months!!! LOL.
