A Day at the Park

Aunt Colleen is Here!

So, Aunt Bean got here! Yesterday, we went downtown to shop (don't worry, they didn't buy anything). Then when Daddy came home we went out for sushi. Yummy! We love sushi...granted, I only get it when it comes through Mommy's milk, but she sure was happy to eat it! When we got home, I got sleepy so Mommy put me to bed. I think Mommy and Aunt Bean had some wine because I heard them laughing downstairs. I slept for six hours in the bassinet! Mommy was worried that I was too big for it but I fit perfectly in it. So today, Aunt Bean and Mommy are sitting in their PJ's and I am sleeping in my swing. I don't know what is in store for us today. Daddy says we are going to sit on the couch all day. Mommy thinks that is a great idea!

A day in the life....

Maeve likes to sit in her swing and watch Baby Mozart...thanks to her boyfriend Trevor who let her borrow it! And in the second picture she looks like a little bug...maybe a love bug like my friend Erin calls her?? Aunt Bean comes today!!!! She gets here in 2.5 hours. I am sure there will be lots of pictures later!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Day of Love! Today was a nasty day for Maeve. It was her two month check up. She did very well and we got a lot of questions answered. Then she had to deal with five vaccinations. There was no love for her-or us today! She is doing rather well considering. I was able to get a couple of pictures of her before her meltdown. But first- her stats!

Weight- 12 pounds, 4 ounces! (90th percentile) YIKES! We are already in size 2 diapers!!
Length- 22.5 inches (50th percentile)
Head size- 39cm (50th percentile)

She is our very healthy baby! Her cradle cap is doing MUCH better thanks to her medicine. She is losing all of her hair though when the scabs fall off. We have a baldy on our hands now! Her skin is still very dry but we are lotioning her up every diaper change to try and control that. Here are the pictures I promised you! Wishing you all love and happiness in your lives!

Okay here is the next Valentine's Day outfit. This is Outfit Number 4. Hope you enjoy it! Off to the dermatologist!

for an important message.

Maeve is taking a bit of a break from her Valentine outfits. We had to go to the doctor today because of puss coming out from under her cradle cap! So after I was done panicking, I dressed her only to notice her little armpits were bleeding. So then I REALLY panicked (ok, ok, I cried too). The doctor saw us right away. This is what's wrong:

Infection on her head, prescription (antiobiotic)
Fungus growing under her arms and on her neck (lotrimin, 2 times a day)
Cradle Cap getting worse, thus creating the puss (new prescription lotion, once a day- also hydrocortisone on forehead, eyebrows and in ears twice a day)
Dry, cracked skin...to where it is bleeding a bit (aquaphor 3 times a day all over her body-my greasy baby!)

So, I am creating a schedule to keep track of all of this. It is CRAZY! This poor baby. Hopefully by this weekend she will feel better.

So Mommy LOVES this outfit. Daddy said he could do without the bow. He told me Mommy acts like I am her doll. She tells me I am!
