Baby Number 2

An update on baby number 2.....

Welcome to the second trimester! This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

Baby Number 2

I thought I would give a weekly update of how our new baby was doing! If it is a she, she already has over 2 million eggs in her ovaries! He/She is 3 inches long-the size of a medium shrimp right now and about an ounce.

Maeve said her First Word!

So we were in the kitchen cooking dinner and Maeve got really whiney. I picked her up so she would calm down a little bit and she looked at the stove. Kenyon was cooking in pots that were boiling. She looked at the steam coming from the pots and looked at me and nodded her head. Then she said, "HOT." I laughed and said, yes, Maeve, HOT. So I started laughing and she said it over and over again. So, she's on her way.....communication, here we come!

After braving the cold weather, we went to visit my cousins at Grandma Susie's house. They are so much fun! I didn't need mommy or daddy at all. I just played with them all night long! Not to mention I was walking everywhere all by myself.

Living in Madness

Some people just wouldn't believe what our place looked like unless they saw it. I know you can't tell 100 percent with these photos but I thought it would give SOME sort of picture as to how we are living. It is pure madness. WE NEED A HOUSE!

It's Been WAY Too Long.....

First off, I would like to apologize for not blogging sooner (cough cough, Renee). I have not had internet at all in this dreary apartment. So, I could not check email, blog, go on Facebook, shop online, etc! I have been dying! But, we are now connected and things are normal again. Some news: Maeve cut her first tooth! It was the day after we landed so it made for a very tiring week. She is finally on NJ time now. It only took two weeks, lol. Her birthday is rapidly approaching and our little baby will be ONE! Dear Lord, where has the time gone? She took three steps today. She can cruise so fast now and at times Kenyon and I look at each other and wonder where she is! We haven't had much time to take pictures of her recently because we have been looking for a house to live in. So, here is what we have and we PROMISE we will do better (cough, cough- to our friends in Pacifica!).
