Miss Maeve

Daddy and Mommy took Maeve to her 18 month appointment this morning. She did wonderfully with the nurse but with poor Dr. Shawn, not so much! She weighs only 24 pounds (50th percentile) and is 31 inches long (42nd percentile). Her head is still massive in the 93rd percentile! We asked about her lack of napping and he suggested switching the time of her nap or even throwing a mattress down to see if she is ready for a toddler bed. I laugh because she hasn't slept in her crib in three weeks for a nap and now we ask the doctor about it- and guess where she is right now? HER CRIB! LOL. Oh well. She talks very well for her age (which we already knew) and she is right on track with her milestones. Pretty much, she is brilliant. Nothing we didn't already know! When Dr. Shawn stopped checking her ears and chest, she looked him right in the eye and said, "All done." He laughed and said yes, we are all done. I can't believe that in just about a week or so we will have another baby in the house to rock her world. Doc told me to get ready for some major temper tantrums and her not understanding what was going on. That is where the family comes in! Visit! Play with her! I think it's a great idea. :) Well, I better go before she wakes up. I am not used to this freedom with her in the crib! Some pictures of her at 18 months!
She is such a goofball!

Snuggling with her "guys"

This is what she did when I told her to look at me- What a poser!

Our water baby!

She looks so old sitting in this chair!

Brilliant...not biased are we! HAHA! Just kidding, I say the same thing about Maya. I would totally agree to be ready for the tantrums. Maya is 3 and understood more than Maeve will and it was sort of rough there in the beginning.

What great photos and it sounds like her checkup went well too! As we say about Holly, she's "small but mighty" :)

What a big girl she is getting to be! Yeah for all her milestones. She is going to do just awesome when the new baby arrives. Hey...we were at the pediatrican within hours of one another yesterday. We should have planned that better, we could have hung out together in the waiting room and watched the fish swim in the tank! LOL!
