Even though we are a little late, here are Maeve's stats for her 12 month check up:
Weight: 20 lbs, 12 oz- 50th percentile
Height: 29 1/4 inches- 50th percentile
Head 18 1/2 inches- 90th percentile
Okay, okay so my daughter has a big head! LOL. We went to our new doctor, Dr. Shawn and he was pretty good. Maeve did not like getting allergy tested. They had to prick her finger and take out FIVE vials of blood from that one little finger. It was awful and she screamed and screamed. Then she got two shots one in each arm. By then, I wanted to cry myself. She kept clinging onto me like these people were killing her. We get the results from the allergy test in three days. This will tell us if she really is allergic to eggs. As for now, we MUST not give her anything with eggs in it. Poor girl- no cookies or cake. :( She is now saying some words. She says hot, down, hat and when prompted, out and up. Not to mention all of the normal ones- dada, mama etc. Did you know in NJ it is MANDATORY to give kids all vaccines? The parents do not have the rights to choose which ones they can and can not get. It is awful that we give our government the power to make those decisions! Thanks to her egg allergy, Maeve will not be getting the flu shot but might be FORCED to if her allergy test comes back negative. Ugh. I will keep you posted. Pictures soon!

Ha ha, Holly has a huge head too- gotta love the bobble-headed babies :) I always tell myself that it's better than having a tiny little pin head! Poor girl for having to get allergy tested and all of those shots! Here in Canada half the kids aren't vaccinated and, while it drives me crazy since mumps and measles are fairly common since a lot of kids aren't immune, I guess in some ways it is nice to have a choice in the matter.
She is getting so big! Nice stats for a 1 year old. Maya's head has been in the 95 percentile since birth! I know all about girls with big heads! HAHA!
