It's Official
We are moving home to New Jersey! Kenyon accepted a job at Princeton University. We are so excited! We only have exactly 30 days left here in Maeve's only home, California. We will be flying out on October 26th. It is kind of weird to think that we are going to go back to our roots. We have become a family out here and we both have a feeling that it is going to make us very sad when we actually leave. There were so many things we have experienced out here and to think that it will just be a memory is upsetting. Now, we have made wonderful friends that will always be our friends. We will definitely be back here (I am hoping once a year) to visit so that Maeve will always know about the place she was born. I have a lot of feelings to write but Kenyon is sitting here telling me that people will get bored if I keep typing- so I have decided to share some pictures with you. These are from the very beginning. Over the next couple of days, I will include more of them. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed being in California!

So exciting! The pics are great and yes you do look young! You've made many great memories as a family and will miss many friends in California. There are many people patiently waiting for you back home with many more family memories to be made!

You just go ahead and write all of your feelings about leaving California...promise we won't be bored. I'm feeling sad reading about how sad you are to leave, but I am SOOOOOOOO happy you guys are coming home. Family get togethers are just never the same without silly Aunt Erin to steel the stage from the kids, sing a song and make up some crazy dance! We miss you guys, but not for much longer. Hey, send me some house pics!

I am so happy for you guys but I definitely understand why you will be sad. You and Kenyon had so many "firsts" out in Cali but you can definitely can make more memories when you come back to Jersey. We are all so excited to welcome you back, can't wait to see you!!
Okay...so the first thing I thought was, "Is she crazy! She's finally coming home AND she's sad?" Then, I read the rest of your blog and understood why we are such great friends: you are loyal (and will remain that way with your Cali friends), you are grounded (and will remind Maeve of everything she won't be able to remember herself), you are sad (but will totally get happy when we go shopping together! lol) Had to end it on a funny note! Miss you guys and CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO COME HOME!
