The Day from Hell

Okay so it started out okay and ended okay. It was just the in between that was AWFUL. Me, Maeve, my mom and Dad headed to the airport. All was well. We said good-bye and went through security. It was a cinch! Got to the gate and I thought to myself, you know, I should check my seat to make sure I have an aisle. So just as I was walking up to the counter, they announced that Continental changed planes on us. All of the seat assignments have been changed. Ugh, okay. So, I was supposed to have bulkhead (the seat behind first class that has more room). After the seat changes though, I ended up in seat 29. I thought, okay, how bad could that be?
They then called all Elite passengers. I get up with Maeve and the stroller and then headed to the door. The woman scanning papers said, "Step to the side." I said, "How come?" She said, "I didn't call no babies." Oh how I love Newark. I said, "I am Elite though." She said, "For real? You serious?" I replied, "Yes, I am." "Oh, okay, go through then." I then had to tell her to ticket my stroller. UGH.
I get onto the plane only to see that I am in the LAST seat. So, I say to Maeve (no one else is on the plane yet), "Maeve Noelle! How did we go from the front of the plane all the way to the back of the plane?:" Maeve giggled and I smiled. The Flight Attendant comes up to me and Maeve, takes Maeve's hand and says, "Hi pretty baby.... tell your mom that they changed the planes and she just needs to GET OVER IT." So, at this point, many emotions ran through me. So I looked at her and said, "Excuse me?" She repeats herself and says, "You need to Get Over It." I then tell her that is some way to treat passengers- especially Elite ones. She looks at me and says, "Well, I didn't mean to offend you but seriously, you just need to get over it." At this point, I am LIVID. I tell her the conversation was over and I would appreciate it if she wouldn't talk to me through my daughter and would she please just shut her mouth now? Those were my exact words. She said, "Oh, it's over alright." She then turns, goes to the phone and tells whoever is on the other end that she has just been told to shut up and she wants me REMOVED from the plane. Apparently, you cannot tell someone to shut their mouth anymore. So, after some chit chatting with another Flight Attendant, me and Maeve got to remain on the plane. Oh and the other Flight Attendant kind of rolled her eyes at the other woman and sided with me. But after that, I kind of felt like they were all talking about me, lol. Oh well.
Oh and then they ran out of food. And so I didn't eat. So boy was I happy when I got to come home to a loving, caring, and wonderful man!

OMG!!! What a crazy story! I can't believe that. Could you imagine if you got removed from the plane? Holy cow! Bet you were happy to be home.

You need to write a letter...that ALWAYS makes me feel better. You know, one of those super polite letters to the airline, that at the same time completely belittles that little twits existance! Oh man, I am furious just thinking about it! Again I am reminded of how much airlines in the US SUCK! Too bad Maeve doesn't have a little button you can push to make her puke all over someone on demand! Now that would be fun!!!

hahaha, I love Dawn's comment, that would have been hilarious if Maeve threw up on her! But I also agree you should write a letter. Did you get her name? If not, I'm sure they can figure it out from the flight number and description. She should not get away with talking to to you like that! Could you imagine if I ever talked to a Platinum Marriott guest like that, wow, can we say FIRED! Tell Dan, he'll probably gladly write the letter, he's famous for that :)

XOXO
